Emanuelle Chriqui Biography

Emmanuelle Sophie Anne Chriqui was born on December 10, 1977 in the city of Montreal,Quebec. She is therefore a Canadian actress with a moderate list of acting credits on both television and on the big screen. Emmanuelle Chriqui has made appearances in 2005 on HBO's “Entourage” as Sloan and Unscripted as herself along with two appearances of “The O.C.” as Jodie. These appearances have increased her visibility and exposure in the entertainment world. In May of 2006, Maxim magazine named her no. 37 in its annual Hot 100 list.

Chriqui is French name, and is properally pronounced as Shreeky. She was born into a Jewish family, who had origianlly immigrated from Morocco. At the age of two, her parents decided to moved Emmanuelle and both her older sister and her older brother to Toronto, Ontario, where she grew up in Unionville. This small neighbourhood is just North East of the city, in Markham.

Emmanuelle Chriqui began her acting career at the age of 10 when she landed a roll in a McDonald's commercial. She then moved to Vancouver, B.C. in the mid-90s, to guest-star in numerous series such as “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”, “Forever Knight”, Once a Thief”, and “Psi Factor: Chronicles of the Paranormal”. Her first big Hollywood role took place in 1999 when she was as a supporting character in “Detroit Rock City”. Her breakout performance came in 2000's “Snow Day”, in which she played the the role of foxy Claire Bonner. Shortly after completing her Nickelodeon flick, she was spotted with a man, Brian Eason. It is presumed that they are dating, however neither party has confirmed or denied this report. She appeared in a music video for the rock band Hinder's "Lips of an Angel" in 2006. She has aldo stared in the movie “Adam And Eve” where she played the sexy virgin character of Eve. She was outstanding in this performance.
